Good Evening Everyone,

I hope everyone enjoyed these beautiful sunny days we were given. It was a good time to finish cleaning out the gardens. Since I didn’t plant my potatoes until the first of July the plants are still nice and green. I will probably wait awhile before digging them. Some green tomatoes were picked and put in the basement with hope that they will ripen. Our outside work is coming to an end except for raking leaves and cleaning the yard.

The other day as I was walking up the road an adult sized brown Praying Mantis was sitting right in my path; I stepped aside for it and kept going. On the way back down the hill I came to an even larger Praying Mantis, but it was green. I looked back to make sure I wasn’t seeing the same one, and no, there were two. What is the difference in a brown or green Praying Mantis? Is it male and female?

The leaves on the trees are getting to be very colorful. It looks like it will be a beautiful fall season this year.
